Atmospheric emissions, regulated by Part V of the Consolidated Environmental Law, are defined as any solid, liquid, or gaseous substances introduced into the atmosphere that may cause air pollution and, for specific activities, as any direct or indirect discharge of VOCs into the environment.

Plants and activities that produce emissions (whether they are conveyed or diffused) are subject to a series of legislative measures aimed at limiting air pollution, including the need to hold a specific authorization, the obligation to comply with emission limit values, to draw up a "solvent management plan", to draw up the report referred to in article 271 paragraph 7-bis. These are examples, not always applicable to all realities.

Normachem supports companies in identifying the regulatory provisions applicable to the company's reality and in complying with the regulations.

Regulatory compliance verification

Through a visit by a specialized technician, we assess the company's regulatory compliance, providing an ad hoc report and, if necessary, an adaptation plan.

Support in the authorization process

We are able to offer you a consulting service that allows companies to produce all the mandatory documentation required by law for the application for authorization to emit into the atmosphere, according to high quality standards.

In particular, we deal with:

  • Drawing up a complete technical report, which best describes the plant and the activities carried out therein;
  • Filling in the application and submitting it through the italian portal so-called “Single Window for Productive Activities” (SUAP – Sportello Unico Attività Produttive);
  • Participating in the Services Conference, if convened by the Competent Authority;
  • Preparing any additional documents requested during the examination phase;
  • Supporting you in the management of the obligations imposed by the authorizations;
  • Involving the most appropriate laboratories for the emission analyzes required by law.

Emission analysis

Normachem can support you:

  • in choosing laboratories sampling and analysis activities;
  • in interpreting the results and therefore in assessing the compliance of emissions with the imposed limits;
  • in preparing the appropriate technical documentation to demonstrate what has been detected.
